Last update: 04/03/2024

The Consorcio para el diseño, construcción, equipamiento y explotación del Centro de Láseres Pulsados Ultracortos Ultraintensos (CLPU) was established in 2007 with the collaboration of the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness, the Junta of Castilla y León, and the University of Salamanca. On this portal, CLPU provides the public with access to information in compliance with Law 19/2013, of December 9, on Transparency, Access to Public Information, and Good Governance. The purpose of this law is to expand and strengthen the transparency of public activity, regulate and guarantee the right of access to information regarding that activity, and establish the good governance obligations that public officials must fulfill. The law sets forth the publication obligations that affect public entities to ensure transparency in their activities and regulates citizens' right to access public information.

What is the right to access public information?

It is the right to access public information as provided for in Article 105.b) of the Constitution, considering public information as the content or documents, regardless of their medium or format, held by the administration and produced or acquired in the exercise of its functions.

Can any information be requested?

The right to access information is subject to certain limits aimed at protecting other legal interests that may be left unprotected if the information is disclosed. In other words, these limits exist to protect information that should not be public because, if it were, it could harm an individual or public interest.
