The Spanish Pulsed Lasers Centre strengthens its innovative strategy by launching auxiliary equipment. Among them, the additional units with which the CLPU increases the spill-overs effects of the knowledge-economy edge. One of both has encouraged this strategic activity being the first unit on service of the Centre. It is the Microscopy Unit.

The microscopy includes a set of different techniques and methods to make visible small dimension objects which results imperceptible to the human eye. The Spanish Pulsed Lasers Centre contributes to this area of technological support research in Chemistry, Geology or Engineering with two equipments: one of them is the Atomic Force Microscope and the other one is the Scanning Electron Microscope.
